Chapter 4
"The Concert"
When they got there their manager told them, “Go on in and get ready. It is two hours before a signing you are going to do before the concert. Then after you sign for about thirty minutes you will take a little break then go out and do the concert. After the concert there will be another signing after you rest.” “Woah!” they all said together. They went inside and the guys started getting ready. Steph just sat down and waited.
About 45 minutes later all the guys were ready...except Chris who was still working on his hair. They wanted to go check out the stage. They waited for Chris about 15 minutes. “Yo dude, you don’t have it just right yet?” Greg yelled to Chris who was in the bathroom putting the lat little bit of gel in his hair. “Almost...there!! Yeah I’m done now!” Chris yelled back. “Finally!!” Frankie sighed. Chris came out of the bathroom and they all went to check out the stage. When they got there the stage was all set up. They looked around a bit then headed over to where the signing was.
When they got to the big room they saw a table and five chairs around it. They heard girl outside the door screaming. “Well here it goes!” Matt said. “I’m just gonna stand over here...a way from the stampede that will be coming in here in a second.” Stephanie said laughing. The guards opened the doors and got in front of the girls and told them, “Ok...wait...be calm and go in in an orderly fashion.” The crowed calmed down a little ad came over to the table where the guys were. The first girl came up and put a poster in front of they guys. She was dressed in not much of anything and had gobs of make-up on. “Could you please sign this for me?” she said sweetly. The guys signed it talking to her and other girls around as they signed different things. Stephanie offered to take some pictures of the guys with fans. A lot of girl handed her cameras. She was glad to take pictures.
After the signing the guys got up and went backstage. They were drinking water and getting ready to perform. Steph hugged them all and said good luck. Jesse kissed her then she went down to her seat to watch the show.

When Stephanie got down to her seat there was a girl standing beside her with a sign that said ‘I LOVE YOU GREG!!!’ “Hi...so you must really like Greg huh?” Stephanie asked the girl. “Oh yeah!” she said. “What would you do if he brought you up on stage during ‘Jennifer Goodbye’?” Stephanie asked her. “I would like be the happiest girl ever!!” she said. “Cool!” Stephanie said. She had a plan. ‘I bet I could get Greg to take her up there!’ she thought to her self, ‘There is my good deed for the day!’ She laughed to her self. The girl started talking to her again. “Who is your favorite member?” the girl asked Steph. “Oh...well they are all really cool guys and I love them all! But the one I am really crazy about is Jesse.” she said. Then she thought about the first time Jesse kissed her. Stephanie was about to tell her about Matt being her cousin and all but then the girl said “Oh cool! My best friend loves Jesse too.” She pointed to her friend. Her friend said hi to Steph and said, “We are going to the signing afterward and I hope he asks me out!” “In your dreams!” her friend replied back to her punching her playfully. They giggled. “Yeah...he probably has a girlfriend anyway.” Steph said acting as if she didn’t know for a fact. “Yeah...but a girl can dream can’t she?” the girl laughed. “Yeah!” Steph said laughing along but not really meaning the laugh. ’She’s just a fan, she’s just a fan!’ Stephanie repeated to herself.
Just then the lights went down and five shadowy figures appeared on stage. The audience was screaming at the top of their lungs! The guys started singing ’Let’s Get Funky Tonite’. As the guys sang they touched their fans hands. They sand song after song. Jesse kept coming over to the side where Stephanie was and smiling at her as he sang ’Gotta Get the Girl’. Then later Greg started to sing ’Jennifer Goodbye’. He walked over to Stephanie’s side and was looking for a girl to bring up. Steph pointed to the girl she was talking to earlier. Greg smiled at Steph and then took the girl’s hand. She started screaming. Her friend was snapping pictures the whole time. Then she got back down and Greg got another girl from the other side.
After a couple more songs Chris started to sing ‘Someone to Hold Me Tonight’. He handed out roses like he always did. Then he saw Stephanie in the audience. He handed her a rose and all the things he told himself not to think about came back to him. He tried to stop thinking about it but he couldn’t. After the song he told the guys he needed some water and they took a short break. Claudia came out to talk to the audience.
Backstage the guys were resting and drinking Gatorade and water. They were chatting about the girls in the audience. Except Chris. He was thinking about what he should do and how to stop thinking about Stephanie. Claudia came back and told them to get back out there and have a good rest of the show. Chris shook off his thoughts and went back on stage with the guys. They did a few more songs and then ended with ‘It Happens Every Time’. They reminded the audience about the signing afterward and said bye. The guard let Stephanie up on stage and she went back to where the guys were.
“Oh!!!! Great show guys!!” she squealed as she hugged them all. Then she hugged Jesse and kissed him on the cheek. The guys rested up and got ready for the next signing. At the signing Stephanie did the same thing. She took pictures. Then the girls she met in the audience came up. “Oh hey it’s you!” they said. “Yeah!” Steph said, “It’s me. I’m taking pictures. Do you want me to take yours with the guys?” “Sure.” the girls said and handed her their cameras. They didn’t even ask why she was taking all the pictures. They just got their pictures and autographs and went home.
After they finished they all got on their bus and after everything was loaded it headed back to the studio. When they got there they unloaded. Everyone said their goodbyes and went home to go to bed.
